Techniques
Through training and personal support the charting technique can be used to identify buy and sell signals on a wide variety of markets on a multi-timeframe basis. Ideal for the short term trader these trading tools identify the inherent risk at the point of trade initiation. Accordingly risk management is implicit in the technique.
Once the trading patterns and additional trading tools are applied the techniques can provide a very fast picture of the directional bias of any market. Hence providing a fast feedback loop to validate (or otherwise) day to day operations, or market perceptions based on other criteria and information flows. For example does the technical picture agree with the fundamentals of the market?
By expanding the timeframe of the same techniques the charting system can be applied to trading strategy, market analysis and price projection.
Russell Hill
Russell Hill (BA Technological Economics) has been a consultant with a close association with the brain child and President David Patterson of CACT (Commodity Advisory Corporation of Texas) for 10 years.
With a career spanning 34 years in the oil industry involving the crucial elements of the supply chain and later in crude oil trading, this breadth of experience dovetail's uniquely with charting analysis using CACT's trading tools.
15 years with British Petroleum including sponsorship at University were supplemented by a decade with OMV (State Oil Company of Austria). Careers in these two companies was bridged in market reporting in the formative years of London Oil Reports where wider knowledge of markets was achieved.
Matt Hill / Executive
Since a young age I have been fascinated by markets and their inter-relationships. I went on to study economics and business at A level, a year of which while in Singapore, before achieving a degree in Strategic Economics at Swansea Institute in 2007.
During my sabbatical year I worked at Russ Hill Market Analysis and have since joined the team full time in 2007.
Matt has been featured in the 'Whos Who of Britain's Youngest Directors' for 2 years running.
